“Many thanks as usual for a great week of charters, during the week we had on board over 20 clients and everyone had a good experience and felt very safe and comfortable in your capable hands. That is our 15th trip with ESP Yachting over the past 12 years which is testament to the trust we place in you to look after our clients.”

Digby IFA Partner – Digby Associates Positive Solutions

“We have used ESP Yachting a number of times for our broker events and have found the skippers and crew were very friendly and professional. The service provided by ESP Yachting was  excellent and we would recommend the company.”

Tanya – Aspen Group

“Neil has arranged sailing for us and our guests in Cowes week for many years. The organisation, hospitality and attention to detail is exceptional.

The skipper and crew have always been excellent. Over the years we have had sailing in balmy sunshine and near gales but our guests have always been completely enthralled with the day.”

Adrian at Investec Wealth & Investment

“My team has entertained clients on several sailing days with Neil over the last few years.  He is an excellent and trustworthy skipper and we’ve always had confidence in him at the helm – even in a Force 8 wind!  He is also very welcoming and hospitable to sailors of any ability, giving a bit of tuition where needed, and happy for us to be as involved as we want, or just to sail the boat for us while we relax with a drink!  We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Neil to anyone looking for a relaxed and fun day out on the water with clients”

James from XL Catlin

Mike from Lockton Companies LLP

“My clients said it was the best corporate day out, ever.  Neil and Kenny were fantastic.  Great hospitality with every eventuality covered, ensuring we had fun in a force 8 gale with horizontal rain!”

Fiona from Willis Towers Watson

“I have used ESP yachting for charters over many years. It has always been a fabulous, well organised day that my clients enjoy very much.”

Mark from Aon

“You had the perfect balance between professionalism and fun!”

Kevin from Seven Pillars Capital Management

We booked a sail across the Solent for a corporate hospitality trip for some key clients and it was a day thoroughly enjoyed by all. Helped by the late September sunshine, the crossing aboard Butterfly was extremely tranquil, enjoyable and great for us novices looking to learn the basics of sailing. With Neil and Kenny expertly manning the boat, those interested in knowing more about the local area, the boat, the geography were in good hands. A great day that we will no doubt be repeating next year.”

Places to go

Depending on our marina of departure there are numerous locations that can be visited in a day sail or further afield if you have more time. Our guide below can give you some ideas.

Click your mouse on one of the hotspots to find out more about that location:

Haslar Marina

Our base marina and a great launching point for the Solent. Haslar Marina has excellent facilities and car parking.

Cowes – said to be the world capital of sailing Cowes is the most popular charter destination on the Solent. There are numerous restaurants, pubs and cafes to choose from.

Part of the Beaulieu Estate , a beautiful river that winds its way up to Bucklers Hard for lunch ashore or on a buoy .

A bustling Georgian market town with 2 large marinas. We can start charters from here or call in for lunch at one of the many pubs and restaurants.

A Nature Reserve and beautiful anchorage for lunch when the tide is right

One of the prettiest spots on the Island, and just a short sail from Portsmouth. We pick up a buoy and take the water taxi ashore for lunch.

The iconic entrance to the Solent, we can anchor nearby for lunch or pop into Yarmouth.

One of the quaintest spots on the island with a good selection of pubs and restaurants. A definite option on day charters from The Hamble River or Lymington

The isle of Wight’s most popular anchorage just round the corner from Cowes, providing good shelter and a great view of Queen Victoria’s favourite residence. On a sunny summer days its great for a swim here.

A short motor up the pretty Medina River from Cowes is the Folly Inn, a well-known watering hole serving excellent pub lunches

Given the right tides and a departure from the western Solent we can anchor for a buffet lunch or head ashore to ‘The Hut’ restaurant for some of the best seaside dining on the Isle of Wight.
